Sangiovese – IGT Toscana Rosso

SANGIOVESE – I.G.T. TOSCANA ROSSO

 

 

This wine is produced with the best selection of our Sangiovese grapes harvested by hand and vinified at a controlled temperature for 18 days with the sole use of indigenous yeasts.

The wine thus obtained, after a first passage in steel tanks, completes its aging in first and second use oak barriques, for a minimum of 16 months and then in bottle for a minimum duration of 6 months.

Vineyard: medium-textured soil with the presence of marl

Training system: spurred cordon

Vines per hectare: 5000 vines per hectare

Altitude vigne: 250 -300 meters above sea level

Vinification: fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature with indigenous yeasts for about 18 days

Aging: stainless steel tanks and then oak barriques for at least 16 months. In bottle for at least 6 months

Tasting notes: ruby red tending towards garnet. The nose is intense, persistent and complex. Initial notes of cherry and berries. Final with floral hints of geranium.

Food pairing: grilled meat, stewed white meats and first courses with duck.

Serving temperature: 18-20° C
