PRIORE – CHIANTI DOCG

9,50

Priore: a Chianti worthy of the history of Fraternita dei Laici. The label shows the constitution statute of Fraternita dei Laici dated 1263. The Prior was a religious of the local Church who was in charge of maintaining relations with the Fraternita.

The wine is produced from Sangiovese grapes, a classic of Tuscan viticulture, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

In the vineyards dedicated to this Chianti we practice a shorter dry pruning, a fertilization aimed at increasing the quantity of organic substance available, a manual binding and a thinning of the shoots and an early leafing. The grapes are harvested by hand selecting the best bunches.

The long fermentations at controlled temperature start with the sole use of indigenous yeasts without the use of selected yeasts.

The vinification in steel is then followed by an aging in wood which gives the wine greater softness and balance.

The whole winemaking and aging process is carried out without artifice, for a wine of great emotional impact. The philosophy of Tenute di Fraternita is to offer a genuine product savoring the sensations of traditional Chianti.
